Bad Beat Blog ? Blog Archive ? Akea Business Management - How ...

These three men are the main individuals at the business office, as such, this is a good place to begin when we analyze the founders for Akea. William King may be the founder and visionary for this business and had the strategy in the first place to use the ?hot spots? idea to figure what the dietary needs for optimal health. He has a strong background in company and is really a health and wellness advocate. King?s perspective couldn?t have become a reality with no the work of Munther Qubain, the Presidnet and Chief Executive Officer. Munther has extensive background in finance and seems like a good guy to help keep the books in order for Akea. In conjunction with these types of two men, Bill Bernecki is the Chief Operating Officer and brings management, negotiating and attention to detail on the management team.

Terry Sheffield may be the man that brings the hefty experience in direct product sales to the table. One of a kind for Terry, is his expertise in both multilevel marketing as well as being a productive corporate executive. In conjunction with Terry?s mlm marketing expertise, what business could survive in this particular day and age without somebody to manage the on the internet presence? To tow this line, Maggie Scofield has expertise managing educational and global sources using a special emphasis on internet technology.

To be able to crack the code from the locations close to the world and exactly what makes these cultures especially healthy to be able to harness that information in to the best product or service possible, the Scientific Advisory board at Akea ranges from physicians to journalists to understand what makes these types of cultures unique.

Maurice Werness may be the lead man on developing the Akea Essentials. He is a doctor in naturopathic medicine and has experience in treating heart disease utilizing natural interventions. There are actually a few physicians on board, Gordon Koltis, Michael Fajgenbaum and James Stevens that in my mind would bring a few traditional medical insight into what seems like a largely ?outside the box? approach, a minimum of if compared to traditional medicine. Even though I can?t be totally sure of the dynamic, this particular is essential because in many ways naturopathic medicine sometimes makes some overzealous claims that aren?t always founded in science (I will leave this decision to you personally however!). To round out this team, Sally Beare is really a journalist specializing in health and wellness and has provided several of the foundation to identify the ?Hot Spots?.

With all of this in mind, it seems like they?ve a great team in position in order to make sure they stick their mission and claims of bringing the worldwide health secrets on the customers and distributors in Akea. As with any multilevel marketing business, I would challenge you to think seriously if these types of are a group of individuals that you simply would want to get into business with.

Yet again, this opportunity might or might not be correct for you, for more details about what you ought to think about while looking into a multi-level marketing organization, take into account not merely the founders, but the people you work with each and each and every day. To put that another way, do not forget that much more significant than the leadership in your company office, the management in your group (both up line and down line) would be the most essential mainly because are often the people you will end up working with day and day out.

Chevron suspends Brazil oil output following new spill

US oil giant Chevron announced Thursday it was seeking temporary suspension of production operations off southeastern Brazil after a new spill was discovered.

Chevron said its Brazilian subsidiary requested the temporary shut-in of production at the Frade field as "a precautionary measure" following discovery of "a small new seep in the field."

The Frade field, located 370 kilometers (230 miles) off Rio de Janeiro state, currently produces roughly 60,000 barrels per day.

Chevron said it would conduct a comprehensive technical study and prepare a complementary study to better understand the geological features of the area, working with its partners and seeking necessary approvals from Brazil's National Petroleum Agency (ANP).

The US firm, which has a 51.74 percent operating interest in the Frade Field, said the suspension was endorsed by its Brazilian and Japanese partners in the project.

In November, Chevron was blamed for a major spill in the same area, with ANP calculating that some 3,000 barrels of crude were spilled.

Brazilian authorities as a result suspended all of Chevron's drilling operations and denied it access to huge new offshore fields, which ANP says have reserves that could surpass 100 billion barrels of high-quality recoverable oil.

Prosecutors also announced legal action against Chevron, its Brazilian unit and oil drilling contractor Transocean, seeking $11 billion over the November spill.

When it comes to adoption should there not be private adoption ...

Question by Where were you: When it comes to adoption should there not be private adoption agencies but only state agencies?
Should the US make all adoptions go through a foster to adopt program?

How do we fix the current system?

Do we limit advertising for private adoption agencies?

People keep saying they want to adopt a baby in need, so if we only had an adoption agency through the the government then the child(ren) in the system we would know they came from a family that truly didn?t want the baby or was abusive. Isn?t that the whole point of adoption to save a child in need and not to retain a baby that?s mother would have otherwise kept it?

I plan on becoming a foster parent within the next year to help children that are in need of a loving home.
lizardmama2 you have an excellent point. I think we need to limit budgetting for advertising adoption, keep adoption out of the hospitals, and let women decide for themselves what is best for their child. I do believe that abused and neglected children should be adopted out or at least to a fit family member.

Answer by lizardmama2
I do not believe so. The question is, Is bigger government more efficient and more effective than the private sector? Should government be responsible for matters involving private individuals, in this case, to include their families? Governments breed bureaucracy and create ineffective systems that infringe on rights of individuals. I understand your concern, but there are more appropriate ways to address this issue than through government expansion. I believe in private business. I believe in private citizens. And I believe in idealistic people like yourself to see a better way of doing things and make it happen. You have in your own entrepreneurial mind the capacity to do more for the system than the government can by making a ?larger system.? Can you save every one? No. But you can make more of a difference than a cold government bureaucrat could do at the cost of taxpayers being forced to fund your values. The current system has failed its foster children. Why in the world would we want to reward that failure with greater responsibility?

Warm, spring-like weather to last at least into next week

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Commuters left coats at home and golfers, sun-bathers and farmers ventured out into spring-like temperatures across the nation's midsection on Wednesday, with meteorologists predicting the balmy weather would last into next week.

High temperature records have been shattered this week from Florida to the U.S.-Canada border, with the variance from normal highs most pronounced in the Northern Plains, where recent temperatures in the 60s were as much as 30 degrees above normal.

Chicago commuters on Wednesday rode in shirt sleeves, golfers hauled their clubs to courses in Minneapolis, and farmers began preparing thawed-out fields.

The unusually warm air east of the Rocky Mountains was courtesy of a high-pressure system trapping cold air further north, meteorologists said.

"We have a lot of warm, moist air from the southwest pulling into our area, causing this pleasant weather," Chicago-area National Weather Service meteorologist Amy Seeley said.

On Tuesday, the mercury hit a record for the date of 81 degrees in Omaha, Nebraska; 82 degrees in Springfield, Missouri; 81 degrees in Sioux City, Iowa; 67 degrees in Minneapolis; 59 degrees in Grand Forks, North Dakota; and 71 degrees in Concord, New Hampshire. More records could fall on Wednesday.

A cold front arriving in Chicago on Thursday will briefly shift winds from the northeast, bringing in cold air off Lake Michigan and causing temperatures to drop near the lake. Parts of New England will experience a similar shift with cooling winds off the Atlantic Ocean.

But temperatures in the Midwest will climb back into the 70s over the weekend, and stay there through at least the middle of next week, with a chance of rain most days, Seeley said.

Along with the early blooms of crocuses in gardens across the nation's midsection, the cherry blossoms on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., were predicted to bloom next week, a couple of weeks earlier than normal.

The same was true for farm crops and orchards, said meteorologist Joel Burgio of Telvent DTN.

"This warm weather will advance crops beyond where they normally are," Burgio said.

Wheat in the South was greening and developing ahead of normal, Burgio said. Fruit trees are blooming early in the southeast, and Midwest farmers will be lured into starting spring field work earlier than usual.

"The concern is that if a sudden change to colder weather comes after this very warm interlude, then you could have some crop problems," he said.

Terror indictment unveiled for Norway massacre

OSLO, Norway (AP) ? Norwegian prosecutors on Wednesday indicted Anders Behring Breivik on terror and murder charges for slaying 77 people in a bomb and shooting rampage but said the confessed mass killer likely won't go to prison for the country's worst peacetime massacre.

Prosecutors said they consider the 33-year-old right-wing extremist psychotic and will seek a sentence of involuntary commitment to psychiatric care instead of imprisonment unless new information about his mental health emerges during the trial set to start in April.

As expected, they charged him under a paragraph in Norway's anti-terror law that refers to violent acts intended to disrupt key government functions or spread fears in the population.

Breivik has confessed to the July 22 attacks but denies criminal guilt, portraying the victims as "traitors" for embracing immigration policies he claims will result in an Islamic colonization of Norway.

Eight people were killed when a bomb exploded in downtown Oslo and another 69 people died in a shooting spree on Utoya island outside the capital, where the youth wing of the governing Labor Party was holding its annual summer camp.

Reading from the indictment, prosecutor Inga Bejer Engh said 34 of the victims at Utoya were between 14 and 17 years old, 22 were aged 18-20, six were between 21 and 25 and seven were older than 25.

She said 67 died of gunshot wounds, and two died of fall injuries or drowning. In addition, 33 people were wounded by bullets, but survived.

Police spokesman Tore Jo Nielsen told Norwegian broadcaster NRK outside Ila prison in Oslo that Breivik had been "totally calm" when he was read the charges.

The terror charges carry a maximum penalty of 21 years in prison but prosecutors are working under the assumption that Breivik is legally insane and therefore unfit for prison. However, they said that this assessment could change during the trial.

A second, court-ordered psychiatric evaluation of Breivik is ongoing after an initial review, which concluded he was a paranoid schizophrenic, met widespread criticism. Some experts questioned whether someone suffering from a grave mental illness would be capable of carrying out attacks requiring such meticulous preparation.

Breivik himself rejected the diagnosis. He also rejects the authority of the Norwegian legal system, calling it a tool of the left-leaning elites he claims have betrayed the country.

Investigators haven't found any indications to support Breivik's claims that he belongs to a secret anti-Muslim resistance movement plotting to overthrow European governments and replace them with "patriotic" regimes.
