The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Recap: Leis, Lies and Lanai

When the party drama ends, the trip begins as we follow The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on their Hawaiian adventure. Will the islands survive the cattiness of these intoxicated divas? We break it all down in this week's +/- recap!

The White Party continues after Taylor and Russell are tossed to the curb and Kyle finally stops the waterworks. Plus 10 because I'm not sure how much more of her sobbing I can take.

Plus 8 to Adrienne for sticking up for Camille. Taylor claims her words were exaggerated. Russell swears it's all a lie. Off camera Taylor backpedals and says the allegations of abuse are true. With all the different versions flying around it's hard to keep it all straight.

Taylor Armstrong's Lips

But Minus 15 because it's hard to concentrate on anything with Taylor's lips filling up the screen. Someone ask her to go easy on the injections before Donald Duck gets jealous.

Back at Kyle's the party continues. Does anyone else find the Fatburger tent out of place? I'm all for a good burger but it's such an odd product placement. Minus 10 because it looks like the ladies will push almost anything for a buck.

When the party is over the packing begins and it's off to Hawaii for Mauricio's birthday.

Oh my God. Jiggy can't go. Will Ken and Lisa survive the trip without their beloved fur ball?

Everyone is relieved that Taylor and Russell aren't coming but will Kim make it? Less than an hour before the flight Kyle calls her sister from the airport. It's hardly a surprise to hear that Kim is still at home. The excuses don't stop. Her license has expired, she can't find her passport, she's looking for her keys. Some things don't change. Minus 8.

Oh, and Kim's alarm didn't go off. Or maybe she was just too stoned to hear it. What's your guess?

Kyle Tweaks

The rest of the gang arrives at the Four Seasons on the island of Lanai. Plus 20. Can I help Mauricio celebrate his birthday too?

With Taylor and Kim out of the picture, Brandi is in the spotlight. The woman has no filter. Whatever pops into her head falls out of her mouth in the same moment but I think I'm with Camille on this one. If you don't take it personally, Brandi is kind of hilarious so Plus 7 for the comic relief.

Of course Kim's new love Ken might not like it when he hears that Brandi says he looks like a gay Bull Mastiff. Plus 8 because I agree he definitely resembles the dog but I can't say I've ever met a gay Bull Mastiff so it's hard to comment on that part.

At the resort, Brandi's drunk and practically groping Lisa's husband, Ken, not that he's complaining. So funny when Kyle calls him out on his sudden interest in learning about the islands. Plus 5.

Of course all of Brandi's attention may have bought Ken an extra birthday present from Lisa this year. So I'm guessing Ken's enjoying all aspects of this vacation.

On the beach Lisa snarks that Brandi's string bikini isn't more than "butt floss" but if anyone call pull that look off it's definitely Brandi. Plus 7 because they say if you've got it, flaunt it and Brandi has no problems doing so.

Brandi and Ken

When Paul shows up in Hawaii he's hoping for a romantic vacation with his wife but Adrienne really needs to loosen up.

She's worrying about the kids and says she has no plans to go in the ocean. Minus 10. She's on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Live a little.

Plus Paul had to fly over with Kim and Ken. Poor man. He mentions she spent way too much time in the bathroom. No surprise there.

So next week Kim and Ken finally stumble into the party. Let the games begin.

EPISODE TOTAL: +22. SEASON TOTAL: -290.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand "Just Too Different," Friends Say

Katy Perry's divorce from Russell Brand wasn't due to a particular event or issue. The couple simply got married too fast and are too different, sources say.

They were infatuated with each other when they wed in October 2010, but had only been together about a year at that point, and things went south fast.

People close to the couple say Katy and Russell were head over heels for each other, fascinated to be with a great person who was an extreme opposite.

The problems came when the honeymoon phase wore off.

A Russell Brand and Katy Perry Pic

After they got married, they fought constantly, often in front of people at clubs and shows. They're both stubborn and strong-willed, making things worse.

Their busy schedules didn't help, as they never spent long periods of time with each other. In the end, despite their attraction, they were "just too different."

Brand, who filed for divorce Friday, is more of a homebody than Katy, 27, who loves going out partying. Russell, 36, has been sober for years and didn't enjoy the scene.

He would often voice his desire to stay in or leave places early, asking her to come with him, which would trigger arguments. So it went. Not a long-term match.

At the end of the day, neither hates the other, there's no bad blood, and not even a hint of impropriety on either part. Just a mutual parting of ways.

Sad, but something a lot of people, famous or not, can relate to.

PFT: Things are looking up for Norv Turner

Kansas City Chiefs v Oakland RaidersGetty Images

When the Raiders decided to trade their 2012 first-round draft pick for Carson Palmer in the middle of the season, it was all about winning now, which meant the move would only make sense if Palmer could lead the Raiders to the playoffs.

And Palmer didn?t lead the Raiders to the playoffs. So when Palmer was asked after Sunday?s loss to the Chargers whether this season was a failure, he acknowledged that it was.

?It was this year,? Palmer told the San Francisco Chronicle. ?It didn?t work out for us this year. I always feel like when you don?t win, the quarterback can always play better, and I can definitely play better. It stinks to sit here and say next year, what are we going to do next year. We?ll get back together, look at film, find ways to get better, find a way to get to the playoffs next year.?

One thing that will hamper the Raiders? efforts to get to the playoffs next season, and in the next few seasons, is that in addition to trading away their 2012 first-round draft pick for Palmer, they?ve also already spent their third- and fourth-round picks on quarterbacks: They used their third-round pick to get Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft, and they used their fourth-round pick to get Jason Campbell, whose injury precipitated the trade for Palmer.

So the Raiders have invested heavily in the quarterback position. And that investment didn?t pay off with a trip to the playoffs.

Microsoft OneNote and Youtube Video Ideas. Nokia Lumia 800 Demo

December 30th, 2011 ? Mark Guim ? Filed Under

I?ve been hunting down great apps at the Windows Phone Marketplace, but recently discovered one that?s already pre-installed. I?m talking about OneNote, which is part of Microsoft Office for Windows Phone. I?ve been using it to write down video ideas for our Youtube channel. Since it is stored in the cloud, I can see or edit the same note on the Nokia Lumia 800, my Macbook, or even the iPhone.

You can also watch this video in HD on Youtube. Subscribe to the channel to preview the latest videos before they get published on the blog.

You can take new notes and open existing OneNote notebooks right on your phone. Your notes can help you remember things like what happened in that meeting at work or what you need to pick up at the grocery store on the way home.

What do you use to take notes on your phone?

South Florida airports offering more healthy food

There's no need to eat junk food at airports anymore.

With passengers becoming more diet-conscious, South Florida's airports now offer sandwiches and salads filled with hummus, sprouts, spinach, carrots and other healthy stuff.

The items have appeared in just the past year, providing greater choices to those who prefer to eat in airports rather than pay for meals on planes.

"I'm not ever going to say it's going to be a gourmet experience," said Jan Norris, of West Palm Beach, a freelance food writer and a contributor to the Sun Sentinel's food section. "But airports are at least trying to give travelers options now."

Airport officials call healthy food a "growing trend."

It's "a response to customer demand," said Greg Chin, spokesman for Miami International Airport, which was recently ranked sixth among 15 major U.S. airports for offering "low-fat, high-fiber, cholesterol-free vegetarian" options.

The survey was conducted by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a non-profit organization based in Washington that promotes preventive medicine and good nutrition.

Among the healthier offerings now available at local airports:

At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Chef Allen's 2 Go offers key lime tuna salad with plantain chips, a dish that includes organic mixed greens, tomato salsa and cilantro vinaigrette.

At Palm Beach International Airport, Rooney's Public House offers an Asian chicken salad with mixed greens, mandarin oranges, snow peas, noodles and spicy peanut dressing.

At Miami International, the Ice Box Caf? offers the Health Nut Sandwich, composed of hummus, sprouts, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes and spicy feta spread on multigrain bread.

Teresa Coholan of Boca Raton, a frequent flier, said that/ if there has been an improvement in airport food, she hasn't seen it yet ? at least at Fort Lauderdale.

"Once you go through security, there is nothing to eat at that airport," she said. "Everything else is pre-packaged, ice-cold sandwiches and stuff like that."

By comparison, she said that at Boston's Logan International Airport, "there are all kinds of restaurants past security. There's a big selection."
